A Day to Remember?
The final Barack Obama rally in Northern Virginia on November 3rd was a great experience. I don’t think he’ll win Virginia. I know I’m in the minority. But, I’m not sure he’ll win the election. McCain 276, Obama 262. Obama wins Colorado & New Mexico, McCain wins New Hampshire. If Obama wins Iowa, it will be tied at 269.

Talk about a negative association. Throughout presidential politics, I’m guessing a few politicians benefited from having similar names to past presidents.
John Adams - John Adams, Jr.
William Henry Harrison - Benjamin Harrison
Andrew Johnson - Lyndon Johnson
Thomas Jefferson (VP George Clinton) - William Jefferson Clinton
Teddy Roosevelt - Franklin Roosevelt
George Bush - George Bush, Jr.
Also, business names - Ford (automobiles) and Hoover (vacuum cleaners)
